It means our herd eats and lives on open pasture, grazing natural mountain forage from start to finish. No grain, no corn, no soy, no feedlots. Ever. From the day they're born to the day they're harvested, our animals know only land, fresh air, and the Sierra Nevada seasons.

Our cattle are 100% grass-finished on our own pastures, grazing on the most nutrient-dense forage we can offer. In the months leading up to harvest, they have access to the best natural grasses the season provides.

Our mama cows are Black Angus and our bulls are Hereford - one of the most celebrated combinations in grass-fed ranching. Angus brings the marbling, Hereford brings the tenderness and depth of flavor, and a natural ability to thrive on pasture. Together they produce beef that’s rich and well-marbled.
